A sortable overview of deep fields

This page presents a brief overview of (some) deep fields with multi-wavelength coverage. The list is not complete and the definition of what a "deep field" is anyway rather loose. The emphasis is really on fields with deep optical data at present but the intention is to avoind a wavelength bias in the final version - ie. fields should be included if they have particularly deep data in one or more bands, regardless of which they are.

The data are organised in "collections" and note that these can overlap quite significantly. For instance: there are CFHTLS data in the AEGIS collection as well as in the CFHTLS collection. Where possible multiple disjoint fields have been identified, but this has been done in an automatic way so it does only work for well separated (> 5 degrees) fields.

Note that this table can be sorted on the column you wish. It is initially sorted on the right ascension of the centre of the field but by clicking on the column headings you can choose other sortings, click twice for reverse sorting. The area field is sorted on the maximum size covered while for the natural ordering is used.
