Mijn Onderzoek
We bestuderen de evolutie van sterrenstelsels. We kijken naar sterrenstelsels die zo ver weg staan, dat het licht er vele miljarden jaren over heeft gedaan om ons te bereiken.
Op deze manier kijken we terug in de tijd, en kunnen we zien hoe sterrenstelsels gevormd en geevolueerd zijn. De resultaten zijn spectaculair: we zien reusachtige botsingen, grote geboortegolven van stervorming in sommige stelsels, en nog veel meer. Kijk hier voor meer informatie.

HST images of high redshift clusters
   here you can find images taken with the Hubble Space Telescope
       see the pictures of our latest cluster MS1054-03. It has a large
       number of colliding galaxies, which can be seen in great detail.
   Another cluster, MS1358, has a well studied high redshift galaxy
