UltraVISTA is an ultra deep near-infrared survey using the European Southern Observatory (ESO) VISTA survey telescope.  Please see the official UltraVISTA website for more details.

Of the course of five years, UltraVISTA will repeatedly image the COSMOS field in five bands resulting in three key surveys.

-An ultra-deep broad band (Y, J, H, Ks) survey (1408hr) covering 0.73 deg

-A deep broad band (Y, J, H, Ks) survey (212hr) covering 1.5 deg

-A narrow band survey (180hr) covering the same regions as the ultra-deep survey
