Matthew Kenworthy's Academic Publications

Here are links to all of my publications and poster abstracts and to refereed publications from the Smithsonian/NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS).

This page aims to hold all the papers of mine that are not available from the ADS paper service, and to hold copies of papers that may require a paid subscription for non-academic browsers.

The title of my thesis is The Development of New Techniques for Integral Field Spectroscopy in Astronomy [8.9Mb PDF] (1998, Univ. of Cambridge), and it concentrates on building fiber-optic fed spectrographs in both the visible and near infra-red bands that can perform two-dimensional spectroscopy of astronomical objects. A good summary of one of the instruments I built is detailed in SPIRAL Phase A: A Prototype Integral Field Spectrograph for the AAT
