Dr. Joanna Holt

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Sterrewacht Leiden, part of the Universiteit Leiden. Here in Leiden I work on the UltraVista survey - an ultra-deep near infra-red survey of the COSMOS field. In addition, my research interests include galaxy formation and evolution, particularly the triggering and feedback in active galaxies.

Before my move to Leiden, I was a postdoc in the Astronomy Group at the University of Sheffield in the UK. My project focussed on modelling the stellar populations in radio galaxies. Before that, I completed my PhD on 'Emission Line Outflows in Compact Radio Sources', again in Sheffield. I have also spent some time at the Kapteyn Instituut at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, and at ASTRON, both in The Netherlands and at the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes in La Palma, Spain.

To find out more about the work I've done, have a look at my papers: all and refereed
