Research
I'm a member of the Astrochemistry group of Leiden Observatory. In January 1998 I started my PhD on the physical and chemical structure of massive young stellar objects. ISO spectra of about 15 sources have been taken. These massive protostars show many absorption and emission lines, including many water lines (see the spectrum below). Also lines that have never been seen before in these objects are now clearly detected in the ISO spectra, which makes it even more interesting.
