Four collaborating and complementary research groups at Leiden Observatory (Ewine van Dishoeck, Xander Tielens, Harold Linnartz and Michiel Hogerheijde) focus on various aspects of interstellar molecules. The astrochem group meetings link observations, modelling, laboratory experiments, and basic calculations in order to gain insight in the molecular astrophysical processes that take place in space.
